At Haybucks Carpentry, health and safety is central to how we work. We are committed to providing safe and healthy working conditions for all employees, sub-contractors and anyone affected by our operations. As far as is reasonably practicable, we ensure our work does not adversely affect the health, safety or welfare of people or property.
We work closely with Midlands Health and Safety Consultancy, our independent advisers, to stay fully up to date with current legislation and industry best practice.
Our Legal Commitments
We fully comply with the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and all other relevant legislation. This includes:
- The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999
- The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015)
These legal requirements form the foundation of our health and safety management system.
Responsibilities Across the Company
The Directors of Haybucks Ltd are responsible for implementing and maintaining this Health and Safety Policy.
Employees and sub-contractors must follow all health and safety standards, procedures and site rules at all times.
Site supervisors play a key role in putting the policy into practice on every project. They actively promote health and safety awareness as an essential part of good site management.
How We Manage Health and Safety
To maintain high standards we:
- Provide the necessary resources, information and training for all staff
- Maintain regular communication and consultation on health and safety matters
- Prepare risk assessments and method statements where required, and review them regularly
- Continuously improve our performance by monitoring compliance with policies and procedures and tracking our accident incidence rate
Independent Oversight and Annual Review
Midlands Health and Safety Consultancy oversee our health and safety management system. They also carry out an annual review of this policy to ensure it remains effective, relevant and fully compliant with current legislation.
Our Commitment to Continuous Improvement
We aim to continually improve our health and safety performance. Progress is measured through ongoing monitoring of adherence to our policies and procedures, together with careful tracking of our accident incidence rate.
